AI’s New Economics
Where value lands when AI makes cognitive labor abundant — and why the durable defense is owning your substrate, making models contestable, and keeping your customer.
Data, systems, and the business of building them.

Kyle Lundstedt is a pragmatic technology executive who pairs hands-on data and systems leadership with deep analytics and finance fluency. He is the founder and president of IndustryVault, a boutique data analytics consultancy that serves as a de facto data-and-technology team for small- and mid-sized firms in regulated industries.
Over the last decade, Kyle has built and operated a secure cloud analytics platform for browser-based access to business-critical data, re-architecting it across three generations of cloud data management — Redshift-based data warehousing; the modern data stack of Snowflake/Fivetran/dbt; and today’s open lakehouse patterns built on Apache Iceberg and DuckLake.
Earlier in his career, Kyle led mortgage and real-estate analytics businesses and teams at LPS Applied Analytics, Andrew Davidson & Co., VaRisk, and LoanPerformance. This work spanned credit modeling, valuation and risk-management software, data products, and executive technology leadership for commercial and federal financial-services clients.
Kyle holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Yale. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve, retiring as a captain.
